There was a well know business man in solapur Appasaheb Warad under their guidance they were working as an accountant after that he noticed that Britishers were torchering  indians and then he discussed with his friend shrikisan Laxminaryan Sarda,Abdul Rasool Qurban Hussain,Jagnnath Bhagwan shinde that we have to take action against britishers. So this faces came front as a leader
So Mallappa Dhanshetti is the one of the freedom fighter of India and is from solapur. His contribution played vital role in freedom of solapur and he is also well known leader of solapur.
When mahatma gandhi was arrested the reaction in solapur was likely to see. The people of solapur were very impatient and strictly opposed ghandi's arrest. At last because of bravery of solapur peoples. Britishers released mahatma gandhi after that (12 may 1930) at night the martial law had been implemented in solapur city.
